UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE

Since 1958, Unemployment Insurance has protected all workers in the private sector and some in the public sector when they lose their jobs. It pays them an allowance and promotes their return to work with aid. Operating as insurance, it compensates those who have contributed, based on their former salary. But it is also united, since it pools risks and better compensates for the loss of low wages than high income.
